NinjaPass Flash requirements?

hi guys.
Ive read a few reviews for the ninjapass flash card, and it says you dont need anything to boot up an NDS rom or homebrew? do you not require a supercard lite, or g6 lite or m3 lite to put into the GBA slot aswell? or is it the same as the new DS-Xtreme (4Gb) that doesnt need anything. Also, since its only 128MB maximum, can u not use a supercard lite (for example) with a microsd memory card to expand the memory as it were?

doesnt the 512Mb jr. need a boot up from the gba slot tho? it says its compatible with m3 and others
