Of course it writes to the flash. It's a DOWNGRADER! There aren't that many risks though... (compared to the 2.5/2.6 downgrader)
ive never used this downgrader, but i plan on doing so, because i am probably going to buy a 1.52 psp. since the downgrader is just tricking the psp into thinking its 1.0 so u can upgrade to 1.5, is there really anymore of a bricking risk than if u upgrade your psp? when it tricks your psp, does it write to the flash?

I've done 5 now but I always get alittle extra nervous because they ain't my psp's I'm downgrading. Anyway's the 2.00 to 1.50 is really easy but yes there is always a risk just double and triple check yourself and you should be fine.
There are much more risks with tyhe 2.6/2.5 downgrader than the simple 2.0 downgrader. Don't worry about it, if you put all the files in the right place, it should turn out just fine.![]()
and if you dont it just doesnt run i think
i did it the other day and it seems nearly impossible to brick, but i sugest waiting 1 minute before turnin off psp after 1.0 spoof just to be on the safe side.
1 minute is a bit long i always wait 30 seconds it only takes like 2 seconds to flash.

I think it's pretty safe unless you disconnect the charger while updating or a powercut.
Tried it ages ago and worked like a charm xD
secret message!
I used to have a signature here.
i mean when it trcks it into thinking its 1.0, does it write to the flash?
Yes! How else do you think it would work?Originally Posted by psp_iz_my_system
