Paying To stay with your parents?

My suggestion is to look at going rates for appartments in the area. If you were spending less money than at your Mom's house then stay until your mom kicks you out and go and live in the appartment.
Also b8a made a good point but getting the police involved would only make your mother more bitter and angry.


Talking to her would be your best option. If she is unmanageable in that area than it is best to get away. She would most likely just cause more problems. A whole weeks rent is not a good deal and your mother needs to see that you have a life to uphold also.

I have been living on mi own since im 17 did everything for my self. I think she is trying to teach you a valuable leson. Things in life arent free you are 19 and probably no debts so give her the money you only get one MOM

My parents view is I can live here for free as long as I am in fulltime education, which is exactly what I am doing now, because it is only a 15 minute commute into college.

Its a shame, because I actually prefer living away during college time, but if I do that I have to pay for all my bills, food and rent by my own means. While if I stay here I get all of that for free. It seems silly that my parents won't support me if I move out (where I need their support more) but will if I stay at home. But I can't convince them otherwise. Oh well.

that sux, id say if shes really getting delusional, use monopoly money to pay her, lol sorry, ummm, i dont have any advice, im just going into 10th grade so my parents legaly can extort money from me, oh new plan, date someone rich, and then move in with them jk lol

Well, if she is on disability, then she is probably barely getting by financially. I would suggest trying to save money by getting rid of your internet connection (since you own a laptop you could probably got to a local wireless hotspot), and if your HS grades were good enough, you should look into scholarships and loans. Did you just graduate from HS, or did you do so prior? If so, did you apply to colleges/universities then or not? It makes a huge difference, because it is immensly harder to get into any non-community college institute after spending time out of education if you hadn't already been accepted by them prior.
