ps3 The PS3 versions side by side

Silconera has posted a nice side by side comparison of some newly released images by Sony of the 20GB and 60GB PlayStation 3. We all know the spec differences, but it's nice to also see what each looks like in their differing configurations.

Anyone else think the 20GB just looks drastically cheaper in quality? As if there weren't enough incentive to go with the higher-priced PS3, it looks as though from a purely aesthetic perspective, most gamers would want to go for the 60GB as well.

    funny marketing strategy.

because the 20 gb model doesnt have highlighted lettering, it looks as though it doesnt carry the brand name, so by buying the 20gb model you dont actually have a ps3…

Does the ps3 have a cd tray? it doesnt look like it.
I think that it is better without a tray and you have to slot the cd in, as that way the tray cant get broken if it is hit in anyway...the wii also has this.
Microsoft wont change theirs but i think it is better as a safety precaution tbh

a slot loading drive is good, but only if the blu ray discs come in carts…or else the blu ray discs will get damaged too easy, as the protective layer isnt as thick as on normal CDs/DVDs

true accordian however it will have that lovely material round the edge of the input area as not to scrath the disks when inserting them.
