EA expects Wii to cost $170
Electronic Arts has revealed it expects the Nintendo Wii to retail in the US for around $170.
Speaking exclusively to GamesIndustry.biz, executive VP and COO of EA's worldwide studios David Gardner said, "I've heard in Japan that the price is about $170, but I don't know if the price has been set in Europe yet."
Discussing the key differences between Sony's PS3 and the new Nintendo console, Gardner was positive that the Wii will find its niche in the market as a consumers 'second' console.
"Nintendo has come up with a very clever strategy," said Gardner. "They've made a choice which is great for the consumer. Now we're going to have a choice whereby consumers can buy a Wii plus one other console."

That's like a hundred notes here, even if the do the old £=$ ratio, £170 is cheaper that what Ive paid for all my consoles!!

$170 would be REALY good! but i'm whiling to pay a little more for better graphics, i wish they would make it $250 with HD t.v graphics.

170 thats less than the ds was dam thats a indeffinet buy even if i have to give up 3 360 games

Well for $170 I might as well buy 2 or 3, one for my room, one for the basement, and 1 for upstairs.
I could call it the wii house, party at my house in November!

I got the 360 into an HDTV. The rule is to stay at 720p, as 1080 causes games to suffer. Any they don't look much better anyway. Right now my little brother is playing my 360 in his SDTV upstairs. There's not a huge amount of difference. Nintendo have stated VGA support, so just lay off about HDTV. It's not such a big deal. I think nintendo have made the right decision.
