meme me, could you try and re-download http://www.in7ane.com/psp/gmdl0.4.12b.zip (build 19549) it still doesn't look particularly good with big fonts but at least it seems to work now. (dloading's changes are in as well)
meme me, I think it's to do with windows dpi/font sizing (Control Panel/Display Properties/Settings/Advanced if it is not Normal size (96 dpi)) I doubt you want to change that though as it will change how windows looks - I'll see if I can specify it for GMDL without affecting widows as a whole.
dloading, thanks.
leaod, let me know if you want something specific added, as for the playlist - I could make the file specify songs in the same way as icons - but first it would have to be supported by Map This! (don't know if it's possible for Map This! to call the plugin to play mp3s though).

in7ane,
Don't you worries with the playlist feature, it's nice but not important.

Looks a kind of tool to draw vectorial maps using google maps, maybe can help you in some moment.
in7ane,
I have a feature request: can you add an option to "glue" map tiles together in 4096x4096 or 8192x8192 pixel image chunks?
This can be usefull for "MapCrunching" of "non-googlized" map vendors like rambler, maps2go, etc...
Even with standard projection maps, some people may want to use it to re-map the areas that Google or VE plotted with positional errors..
I wrote a small cygwin script to do this (using imageMagic tools), but, I bet, it would be too hard for most people to follow the cygwin and imageMagic install...
;-)
4.12b ike you say not pretty but it works
thanks for the fix
I have tried to create a extremely small list of for gas sation poi's and restaurant poi's just for a test in my home town. I am running the latest version of gmdl according to the launch (auto detect version). I can see these poi files in mapthis and I can select the restaurant poi and see the icons but when I select the gas stations they don't seem to come up. I have a fairly medium size map ~673MB. It is all of Illinois at 2x zoom and 128x. I am just wondering if it something I am doing wrong or if it is even possible to do what I am trying to do. basically I when I am on a trip I wanna search for the nearest bank, gas station and restaurant, without having to reconnect to my pc and get a dif poi one at a time. If there steps to do this, please let me know. I am not sure what all the buttons are for.
By the way deniska and in7ane, you guys rock. As soon as i seen the PSP 290 support I jumped on ebay and got it. This is really fun. I am an outdoor enthusiast as well so this is gonna be handy. Thanks for all the hard work and effort. If there is a way to support let me know.
deniska, can you re-download http://www.in7ane.com/psp/gmdl0.4.12b.zip (build 31991) there's now a button in the GPSFS viewer to save 8192x8192 (max) tiles of the base layer - is this the general idea? I can make the size and the layer specifiable if you want, but gluing tiles straight from google maps, not GPSFS, seems to be beyond what google tolerates: http://gmerge.2ni.net/
zashley1, check that the POI file specified icons are in the map directory, try with a smaller (400 or less) POI file, if that fails post it here.
This may sound silly but how do the lat\lon divisors affect my poi's? I just tried
