Ahh,
I have been downloading a Map of the US for the last week, and my computer died today. Power failure.
Is there anyway to resume the download of the map?
Or do I have to start it up again from the begining?
Thanks
I have the same problem, but I use another way to unlock the connection: in "network connection" i disconnect the connection and then i reconnect again.
It takes few second, but i have to do this every 10 minutes. For a large map (60mb) in any case i have to do this two or three times.
I believed that all knew this, if someone knows better something, I would be happy to know it.
Regards.

Nope, everything is lost. You have to download it again. Sorry.
Tbone54, I don't understand very well, because you say that last week you have download the map. Today your computer is died, bat in your hard disk there is the complete map or not? (are you finished the download last week?), because if you have finished the download you can mount your hard drive in another pc and all is ok (if the hard drive is in good health).
If only the power unit is died and the motherboard is ok, you can easily replace the power unit and all is ok.
If you do not had finished the download, is another problem and you have to restart again as say Philiphili.
Good luck![]()

Hi all, I was wondering if there are any apps like the GMDL for the mac? I've just replaced my pc with a mac and am trying to make some new maps. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Haizad, who leaves the old road for the new, know what it loses but not know what will find.
Regards.

I put in some basic resume functionality in http://www.in7ane.com/psp/gmdl0.5.05a.zip now resume.txt is created in the map directory and stores: source, zoom, x, y, min_zoom, force_jpeg (create a map and read resume.txt for instructions).
haizad: no mac version of gmdl yet, and it does not look like I will get around to porting it in the near future, so the best bet is to set it up under Boot Camp or virtualization (VMware or Parallels)
