PSPBrew does rock. It does it all for you and puts the corrupt files at the bottom, so you don't see them.

What PSP BREW hides the files if you want why keep them viewable

EBOOT loaders are only needed for 2.0+ because it has security protection, where as 1.5 doesn't.

That's the beauty of 1.5:
-Kernal mode
-Loads directly from the firmware
