I would say it does, after all the original cart on the SNES is completely titled "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island"
...I already mentioned it as my favorite a couple of pages back.

ITS ALL ABOUT SUPER MARIO WORLD.... even though the first game i eva got for snes was donkey kong( all by accident... confusion) smw was and is and will always be "THE BEST"(good memories of it... i think ill go play mario on my old snes on the tv this time... psp screen is too small to help me member how it felt playing smw....ahhhh haha i still have one)

Mario Bros was originally an arcade machine, I played it.
