    ive noticed that the umd drives on the psp are kinda flimsy.

    It's not the flippy part of the drive. It's what holds it down to the motherboard...
    Oh well, I don't use it anymore anyways...

    Dude you should get custom firmware so you never have to worry about bricking your psp. I wrote a guide in the cheats and guides forum, you should take a look
