    Default crash n burn

Hey, i had no idea games like max payne we're possible on the GBA. really wicked emu. Advance wars 1 my fav game

I'm having serious issues tho. i play the emu a couple of times then after that, when i load em up the triangle won't work and they crash with a blue screen. If i replace the eboot, cfg etc it works again but only for a few times and my saves are capoot.

Anyone else? is there a simple solution?

I have FW1.5 down from 2 and haven't altered any save sizes

sorry if this has been explained but i'm staying with someone who won't go broadband and so don't have time to read all the posts.

Just download the 0.6 package again. Considering the trouble with corrupted config files this version is having, I suggest you do what I do: keep a clean copy on your PC. The corruption seems to happen every couple of days for me.

The most irritating facet of this issue is the fact that the corrupted config file won't allow itself to simply be replaced, necessitating a full replacement of all files/folders for gpSP. Not a huge time difference, of course, but still more than a little frustrating.

As to those who have suggested locking the .cfg file by flagging the "read-only" attribute in Windows: I'm giving that a shot myself, but I don't hold out great hopes, as you're setting a Windows file attribute, that I'm guessing the PSP will blithely ignore.

All that said, let's hear yet another round of frantic monkey hooting for Exophase. I haven't been this stoked to own a PSP since snes9x TYL made its way onto the scene. Me and my stock 1.50 PSP eagerly await further beta releases of this fine-ass emulator, and even--dare I say it?--a 1.0!

    Rocksteady, Exophase.

Yes, I truly hope that ".cfg" corruption will be fixed next release, its annoying having to replace everything, but def. worth it non the less.

also, i agree, for a Beta version, its got to be one of the BEST beta's ever. its even better than the NON public psx beta. (fps wise) I.M.O.

I never have to replace all the folders and files when that happens all i do is delete the messed up cfg file and replace it with another 1 i have stored on my pc, that always works for me.

Just set the cfg as a read only, it was even confirmed by Exophase that this will solve the problem. And he also mentioned it will be fixed next release iirc.

Can this work with the new eloader 0.9.8 and a ta-082?

Right, i figured i would just set it to READ ONLY, but from other forums i heard it can cause SAVE problems..wich is why i haven't tried it. but im gonna just go for it.

I never had any problems with the gpsp.cfg file before but I set it to read-only anyway because I thought it would prevent it from corrupting in the future, turns out I was wrong and setting the file to read-only caused it to corrupt the next time I used the emulator. I had to format my entire memory stick just to get rid of it. So my advice would be don't make the file read-only.
