nope it isnt. If you load it up you will see its an original with the newer pokemons from that point in time

you know somthing in the pokemon serries they should have made a game that ties all the regions together even the orange island saga is it "orange islands" idk but anyway is there so such pokemon game as i only kept up with gold en silver then i stopped with the pokemon
