Review: PS3Speed

Just got a new ps3 jailbreak clone sent out from Lightake.com . The appearance of ps3speed is pretty similar with PS3Yes , it works as promised , the main difference from other clones is that it is very convenient to upgrade (no drivers needed) and the price is competitive ($20 price tag).

Unpacking:
The ps3speed came in a small plastic case just like many other clone .





Upon opening the case and removing the ps3speed , it's very similar with ps3yes , doesn't it ?





The device is using a "Atmel" controller chip which is easily upgradeable via a PC USB slot:

Updating the PS3Speed:

Step 1: Download PS3speedToolV15.exe and right firmware

Step 2: Press UPGRADE key in PS3speed and plug it in the USB of your PC.

Step 3: Run PS3speedToolV15，then click"Find PS3speed"
Click "Open.hex File",select right firmware hex file.
click "Flash PS3speed"

Conclusion:

I am pretty satisfied with this product , works like a charm .

Pros:

• Upgradeable via USB
• Small size
• Allows game backups
• Allows homebrew
• Supports external USB HDD
• Does not void warranty
• Works on both fat and slim PS3's from any region
• Can run open source firmware such as PSGroove/PSFreedom

Cons:
-Only works on the 3.41 firmware currently
