Wow, I just realized that I horribly misspelled the word “downgraded” in the topic title. ^_^;
How did that happen? >_>
I saw the Firmware 2.50/2.60 downgrader program here:
http://dl.qj.net/Easy-2.50-2.60-down...8607/catid/114
But then some people here are saying that it only works with certain models of PSPs. Anyone have any more info on this? Can it really downgrade a 2.60 PSP? Or will it brick it every time?

I have downgraded my 2.6 PSP for the seccond time today It works,no problems. It dosent work on PSP's with TA-082 motherboards but you can tell if yours it a TA-082 by looking at this:

Um... I can't see that picture. It just takes me to a little image that says maxconsole.net.
You know you can edit the title right?
Oh, no I didn't know that! ^_^;
Thanks for telling me.
Good bye "dadowngred"!
Lol! Well I hope you successfully downgrade your PSP!
Yeah, this thing does for sure work, right? I know HellsPlumber already said it did, but I'm still not entirely certain. =/
What are the chances of bricking my PSP? Will bricking only occur if I screw up, or is there still a chance my PSP will be bricked even if I do everything perfectly?
I really don't want to screw anything up. Plus, the instructions in the link I posted in the first post are kind of confusing.
There have been hundreds (maybe thousands ) of 2.6 downgrades that have worked properly. Only two known failed. One unplugged, and one forgot a file or soemthing. It's pretty risk free, unless you don't follow directions.
yea its real easy once i found the 2.6 downgrader i was estatic
