You guys still don't get it. Other sites (read: PSPUpdates) knew about this too, just like we've known about every other eLoader/exploit from Fanjita - but at his request, we don't go posting about it until it's ready for release.

fanjita himself posted here yesterday that the new eloader was being worked on as we speak, and confirmed that it will indeed have Kernal level access.

Hmm.... possible but it is not comparable to us derailing sites for posting $#@! like.. we saw videos of the new n64 emulator to be released XX/XX/XX but what troubles me is... how anyone with common sense could pick it up on the front page of WWW.NOOBZ.EU

So what happens next? This shows that we can run code via this exploit. It won't be too hard to develop an eLoader that can use this exploit on v2.0 - v2.6. v2.7+ will be harder, due to extra security, but will happen a little later. Kernel mode is unavailable on v2.8, but it is likely that a downgrader is possible on all other firmwares. But then, with the possibility of kernel homebrew running without the need for a game UMD, why would you need to downgrade? .

Exactly. We all know an eLoader was in the works - it was said when Hello World came out. But now Wraggster posts a mysterious "something's coming!" news post? It's for attention, nothing more. Other sites have a little more respect and will wait until it's finished and ready before teasing the community with an impending release.
