If I had to take a guess on how your PSP got bricked, I would say it was from flashing on a "dirty firmware". Whenever you downgrade to 1.5 from anything other than 2.00, you are left with a "tainted" firmware. (Form what I understand those downgraders only replace certain files in the flash, leaving others from the higher firmware. So flashing to it can often produce bricks.
) After downgrading from a firmware higher than 2.0, the only way to get a "real " 1.5 firmware is to upgrade to 2.0 , and than downgrade to 1.5 I don't believe you could use a ms reader to put HarleyG's on it now, b/c even though you could put a update eboot on it, the PSP doesn't have recovery mode, so it would have no way to load it.
The only suggestions I would have for you at this point are:
1) Send it to SONY, and explain to them how your "battery fell out" while you were doing an official update. (Call them first, of course)
2) Check to see if your warrenty is still good. (If you have one)
3) Unbrick it with a mod chip
4) find someone with a broken PSP (with a good mother board of course) and replace your mother board. (Check E-Bay)
I would try these in the order of: 2, 1, 3, 4 (not the order listed above) I wish I knew of a way to fix it bro.You could also try starting a thread in thr help forum, and see if anyone else has any ideas. If there is anything else I can do to help, just let me know.
