Im sorta confused... It seemed to have worked perfectly since I now have fw 1.5 when i used to have fw 2.71.. but i dont have any 2.71 abilities like it said in the post. I have to update to play socom and so on. what did i do wrong?

you have to install devhook for 2.71 capabilities and to play higher firmware games.

Just downgraded from 2.01-2.71-1.5 with easy downgrader can not use usb function (USB Device not recognised) to get to the memory card any advice all the rest seems to work but cant get use usb so I cant load any homebrew

hey guys i have a noob question.... my psp is version 2.71 if i decide to dowgrade it to 1.5 ... my original games still going to work with the 1.5version just like they work right now in my 2.71.. u know just put the umd and play?
