If so, I want in hopeful anticipation of the 2.80 downgrader. Dark_Alex and his team can take a break, because I've waited for about six months a whole extra month really isnt that important

Guys. With the Dark Alex pack, no one on IRC has any bricks. a 100% success rate with US and European psps.

OK I got it downgraded finally!!! I think it took me 10 tried or something. Here is a video of it that has crappy quality and the color gets messed up a little bit so sorry:

how many tries did it take most of you? or did it got the red screen instantly?

I have the same issue as Turbulance, my psp is seemingly bricked :-/

I followed all the steps, all the files were in the correct place etc. The screen went red, then crashed (as said in the readme), when I restart - just a black screen with my power light left green...annoyance

My FW was 2.71 and I do not have a TA-082 board

I downloaded the downdater271_all.rar from psp hacks. The battery was at 60% and A/C plugged in...
