I read the instructions, but... I have 2.7... where can I get 2.71? I registered today and haven't been in the homebrew comunity since 2.6 came out.

Hi all....

Ok guys....mines bricked..

Heres what i did...

Checked inside UMD slot for TA-082 - no writing.

1) Used a newly pre-formatted 2GB Sony mem stick
2) downloaded the downdater271.all.rar from PSPhacks
3) copied MS Root to root directory of PSP (which only had two files anyway - new mem stick!)
This creates MS Root and the other directories (like Photo) in the pack.
4). Looked at photo, PSP went red....
5). ...then black.
Machine dead.

My battery power was at 58-60% and i DID leave the USB connected after copying the files....
Power lead was also connected.

Now machine will light green for about 10 secs, the light does out. Screen remains black throughout.
