I couldn't tell ya.. my insticts would be that it shouldn't matter for 1.5, but i'm not the one to ask.

    PSP:/PSP/PHOTO/Tiffile.
    PSP:/MS_ROOT/(Downdaterfiles)
    PSP:/DOWNDATER/
    PSP:/MP_ROOT/

    /\ WHICH IS INCORRECT.

    Supposed to be:
    PSP:/PSP/PHOTO/Tiffile.
    PSP:/(Downdaterfiles)
    PSP:/DOWNDATER/
    PSP:/MP_ROOT/

One person admitted to this already (but still doesn't know what they did wrong) here:

So yeah, be careful with the directions. If you follow the directions perfectly, have a good firmware dump, and your PSP is NOT a TI-82, this is 100% working!

Hmmm... Interesting... Does anyone who got a brick remember if they put in the MS_ROOT directory? Has anyone who bricked done the above steps properly?

an eloader is far simpler than a downgrader right? so the loader should be out very soon. does anyone know if there will be compatability issues with standard homebrew games running on a 2.71 loader?

I checked the dump files from the PSP-hacks downdater.rar files and the psp hacks 1.50 japanese dump files. There is a significant increase in number of files and file size.
