i don't think u should go by that number though, go by the mobo or the letter on the box on the barcode sticker under 120V
the letter on the box is EOriginally Posted by Blazed247
anything G and under is a non-TA082 mobo so yes E would be downgradeable
if i do brick it can sony repair it for me and how much if you know thx
well there are a few options, u can
a. buy a UP chip(hard to install and i think they're 100 bucks give or take)
b. take it to walmart and tell them u got it for ur birthday(that's why u don't have the reciept) and that it's defective
c. lie to sony and tell them that it just stopped working(if it's still under warrenty)
i got my psp last september would that still be under sonys warrentyOriginally Posted by Blazed247
the letter on the box on the barcode sticker under 120V is only on value packs. Im gonna exchange my core psp (I'll say its broken) and get a new core psp but I don't know how to tell if it will be a ta-082 without opening the box because there won't be a sticker with a letter on it by where it says 120V. How can I tell if it's ta-082?Originally Posted by Blazed247
btw, I'm in the US
probably not, just do the walmat thing...i've done it with games and cds before...i mean c'mon it's walmart
@taco111: i'm not sure how to tell if its a TA-082 without looking in the UMD drive for the ICxxxx number
