Brand new spanking PSP 1.50 owner here!!!! w00t!![]()
Took abouth 20 tries (3 re-instal with the whole program) what i think really helped was that i waited between restarts.
I have a new 2.60fw psp, the code in the umd lid is IC6001, and the box has an I on it, can i upgrade to 2.71, then use 2.71 to 1.5 downgrader? I have read thru this forum and have read that psps with only the IC6001 can downgrade, but also read that the letter I on your box (next to barcode) means you can't downgrade and now i'm all confused, can someone confirm if it is or not ok to upgrade to 2.71, then down to 1.5 from there? - Thanks in advance

could 2.80 flash access be approved in the near future because when you extract the 2.80 update and change the eboot version to 2.90, then recompile it, then psp acctually loads the update as signed code![]()
Another success story here for the downdater
Had to upgrade to 2.71 and then ran this downdater. Took about 7 tries before the "red sceen" finally showed, but it was all silk from there. The buddy I did this for is going to have one happy kid now.
im so sscared to do it.. but im still going to try. oh man im so freaked out, i got a 20min ups battery backup pluged into my psp just incase =P.. my heartrate is litterally like 100bpm and i havent even started...
omfg.. i cant believe it actually worked... !
it was so scary i was about to cry.. im dead serious!
after the red was coming to an end, instead of blinking every now and then the loading light went solid red... i felt a part of me die on the inside because no one had mentioned it before! but then it went black so i thought it was ok. THANK YOU DARK ALEX!
yay it worked ty
hey ppl, it worked. i love everyone that posted previously it really helped! thankyou!
Worked like a charm, hard to restart 4 times to get red-screen, not bitching, just info for others trying. It's like portable child-hood.
I felt so happy when the red screen came up. To me it would be an equivalent to reopening my psp box again!
