Friend's psp is 2.01, wants to downgrade to 1.5 please help.

If you have GTA:LCS unpatched (the one which requires 2.00 FW to play it) then use the 2.5/6 east downgrader.

When you put the UMD in your drive, does it have an update to 2.0 or 2.6? The 2.0 one is the unpatched version. If you have this one then upgrade to 2.5/6 and use the 2.5/6 downgrader. It's easy and will walk you through it step by step. Make sure you have your PSP plugged in to the mains though.

Yes it safe to plug it in the charger , if it wasn't safe to plug it alot of person would have bricked psp by doing that...

I don't know never get to try the 2.5/6 downgrader , My first psp i downgrade was a friend of mine which was a 1.0 when he got it and upgrade a few times till it was at 2.5 or 2.6 and than upgrade it to 2.71. thats where i downgrade it from ...
