Friend's psp is 2.01, wants to downgrade to 1.5 please help.

Hi everyone,

A close friend of mine has a new psp 2.01 and wants to downgrade to 1.5 what program would be proper to use? he is a new user/member to the site under "gassob" soon to be on this site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

upgrade to 2.6 and use the 2.6 downgrader.

If you have access to an unpatched version of GTA perhaps you should use the 2.6 downgrading method. I am only assuming here but isn't the 2.6 downgrading method more stable than the 2.71 to 1.5 method.....

anyway after u downgrade u may want to upgrade to 2.0 and then downgrade it again to 1.5

Upgrading to 2.60 and then downgrading to 1.50 is the safest route. But if you don't have GTA:LCS, then upgrade to 2.71 and downgrade to 1.50 from there.

But whichever way you choose to do it, make sure that after you've downgraded to 1.50, that you upgrade to 2.00, and then downgrade back to 1.50 again.

The 2.60 downgrader and the 2.71 downgrader BOTH leave you with a glitchy, imperfect version of 1.50 (the 2.71 downgrader leaves you with an even glitchier version). However, the 2.00 downgrader leaves you with a clean, perfect, glitch-free version of 1.50.

This is why you absolutely MUST upgrade to 2.00 and then downgrade to 1.50 from there. A lot of the homebrew stuff can easily brick your PSP if you don't.

you could also use the downdater once you have 1.50, which will bring you down to 1.00 then you just update back to 1.50, i find this method alot faster than the 2.00 update and downgrade method

I also want to do the same from 2.01 > 1.5 I have a unpatched GTA LCS so i will go up to 2.6 down to 1.5 up to 2.0 the down to 1.5, but were do i get the upgrader and downgraders from Thanx for helping.

Yeah, im in the same boat but i have 2.00 and the unpatched gta game.Where can i find an update for 2.00 to 2.6?
Does anyone have any instructions on how to use the gta lcs exploit.I hear that you use somthing else with it to downgrade,also is it safe

theres a 2.0 downgrader out called the MPH downgrader so you dont have to upgrade ill find you a link just wait.
