Default what are the chances my psp will brick?

im a proud owner of a 2.60 psp, i use the eloader and have tons of homebrew on it, but everybody is saying that 1.50 is better. i now how to downgrade and all, but if my psp bricks, its my only one and i wont be able to get another one. can you guys tell me what the chances are that my psp will brick? and do i HAVE to format my mem stick, cause, ive got about 500MB of homebrew on it, and it took me a while to get it. thanks in advance!

Have you got GTA:LCS unpatched? Because it would be much safer to use the 2.60 downgrader rather than the 2.71 one.

Of Course he Does If He Can Use Homebrew Lol! The 2.6 Downgrader Worked PERFECT For Me, But It's Up 2 U. And Also Just Drag Ur Homebrew To Ur Computer And Pt It Back On After. It's Up To You Though.

Sometimes I'm just too dense for my own good.
Flanders- Seriously now, I have downgraded at least 5 PSP's using the 2.60 Downgrader. It's pretty much idiot-proof.

yeh i've used the 2.6 downgrader 3 times and the MPH 2.0 downgrader 3 times(3 different PSPs), also u might wanna upgrade to 2.0 and use the MPH 2.0 downgrader like i did to obtain a "clean" 1.5 fw(since the 1.5 fw is buggy from using the 2.6 downgrader)...both are easy to use and the 2.0 downgrader takes like a minute or two to do(the 2.6 D/G takes about 5-6 mins)

    good luck(u won't need it though )
