There should be a way to turn the chip "off" so that you can play original games online. So I've heard.
So i recently got my Ps2 modded. Not sure what chip was used to mod it But the thing is i cant play games online. The reason is it gives me an DNAS error -402 but how could that be? shouldnt the modchip allow both normal ps2 games and copy ones work? because if i look under what the error code means is that "-402 sceDNAS2_SS_INVALID_MEDIA
Invalid disc. "DNAS Error (-402) A PS2 disc information error has occurred."
So im confused. Is there anything i can do to fix this? or would i have to copy the games into bootleg ones to play online?
Also if it helps at all when i start up my Ps2 ya know the ps2 logo is in a white rectangle.
Edit: what i have learned from googling that error is that it cant read the disk or something like that..so im just wondering if i change the cd reading speed from normal to fast. Well i really dont know how to fix this. Help would be much welcomed.

Usually moding your system will void you of all online games, should have done a little homework.
Most mod chips should still work with online, but then again, yeah, maybe you should check out what they gave you
wht a bummer i have no idea what chip they put inside..though burned games work perfectly..i just find it a hassel that i cnat play online games..
there should be a switch on the modchip, so you can turn it off for online play.
Hi I am not an expert on modding but I had some great success on my troubleshooting problem with a tech support site that might help with this kind of problems. Here is the page for PS2 Support
Good luck
You can't use backups from games released after 2003 for online play.
Use the original ones.
