    i have just purchased a psp as a favour to someone and have found it has homebrew firmware on it any idea how i can remove it as the person i purchased it from has disapeared

    You can download the latest PSP firmware online from Sony's website or you can update via Network Update directly on the PSP with Wi-Fi.

    Btw, what custom firmware version is it and what series PSP?
