A port request (Windows game)

This may sound incredibly stupid, but could anyone port "GeneRally" to the DS? There are only two problems I can think of: 1. It's closed-source.
2. The guys who made the game may not respond if you were to ask for approval/permission, but who knows?

I've already talked to the forum mods and know-it-alls, and the problem is purely technical; the game is not open-source and many on the forum think that the DS may not be able to handle the graphics...Here is the forum topic:

Also: Having GeneRally on the PSP means that the graphics would probably not need to be limited at all, leaving only the closed-source issue.

Great Idea for my next project. In need of a source code
