I have, for years, played both Rugby and Football.

because in gridiron, when you hit someone they dont feel it because of the pads and the fat overweight slobs who play it, all the fat acts like a feather matteress.

in rugby when y ou hit someone, they feel it and go down..

nevermind in gridiron when the ball advances over 1foot or at least 10 seconds of game time goes by you have to have a timeout + huddle + drinks break for the fat guys.. rugby is atleast constant...

gridiron. ppffft. hey our television sponsor is going to commercial. we have to have a timeout until they come back! if I want to watch more commercials than game time, I watch gridiron.

Basically Rugby players show up the Football players.
When i have played rugby, u know about it when u taken down from the side!!
Football(Soccer for you yanks) is about skill, precision and ability of the brain (altho of course the premiership doesnt always show that) aswell as physically.
Football is the best sport, alot more passion than any fake rugby game! The fans are prepared to fight for their believes in their team/country! TRUE WARRIORS!
