I've never heard of people having problems with a dirty PSP, just people telling them to clean it up.
i like to downgrade to 1.00 then update to 1.50Originally Posted by Video_freak
right there are 3 types of firmware types you can have (not versions, types)
virgin = never upgraded or never degraded personally (although sony may have updated it before you bought it), usually clean (but you can never tell as it was sony that put this on your nand, so they may have tweaked it a bit or something)
clean = has been updated to the firmware (or degraded to 1.5 using 2.0 degrader) bug free (but not exploit free of course)
dump/dirty = downgraded using any degrader (except 2.0 degrader as this uses update eboot/disk). If your psp has dumped firmware it can sometimes be a bit buggy (although i never had any problems)
ahhh yea i guess im dirty fw but i never had probs with mine either and i dont plan on use a custom fw so i guess ill stay with my dirty fw lol
i used custom firmware with a dirty psp firmware 1.5 (used harleyg's) and it worked fine. the only reason i ended up degrading from 2.0 was to get euro/uk firmware rather than usa firmware (incase i every want to ugrade again...)
ok i guess ill do it i got the easy downgrader 1.5 to 1.0
and i have a copy of hot shots golf does that have firmware 1.5 installer on it? cause if it does after i downgrade to 1.0 i can just use that game to upgrade back to 1.5
i dunno what firmware that game has, i used untold legends (well, i didnt use 1.5-1.0 degrader either, seemed riskier somehow) either way, good luck
ok all goes well it worked i used easy downgrader to go to 1.0 then i used the updater it came with to go back to 1.5 so now i have a clean psp right
