Oh I know that their is large "Internet Pipelines" That corperations and military branches use, by saying that I doubt that 12gb lines are in existance I was refering to the most you could get feed into a home as in DSL/CABLE/T-CARRIER. Possibly 12mbps but that would be pushing it.

When the light blinks the device is probally busy. You can buy a wireless card but im not sure if it would get signals any better than what you have now and Im fairly certin it wouldnt be much faster. USB2.0 should offer more than enough bandwidth for anything, If your using USB1.0 ports then DO get a card.

Go to My Computer and right click it and go to properties, Click on the hardware tab, click on device manager, scroll to the bottom and expand the item labeled Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Several Items should apear, If any of them have the word "Enhanced" in them then you have USB 2.0 Ports.

If you dont see the word "Enhanced" anywhere then either the USB2.0 ports are not setup or likely you have an older version of USB ports.

The Demension 3000 has USB2.0 ports but you need Windows XP SP2 for them to work. As for little or no connectivity that means that the wireless network is not operating at 100% efficency, like you said its working at 56% efficency which is plenty for any tasks you would need.

how big is SP2 and how do i kno if ive got it? Plenty for any task? the only task i want itto work for IS THE 1 INVOLVING IT WORKING. It want allow me to get on the internet. thats the problem. no pw needed for the network it just want operate on that.
