    hey, i'm new here and new to hombrews on the psp and i want to know something, do i need a modded psp to use this cheat device?

    No, you just need Devhook installed on your PSP. (which requires version 1.5 btw)

    its like action replay, gameshark through devhook emulation. use the eboot to install the cheat device to your emulated firmware.
