wait if u want a truely "clean" fw the use the 1.5>1.0 downgrader and then use $ony's offical update eboot to upgrade to a perfect 1.5 fw(just did that a couple days ago, and i works )

and Devhook(firmware emulation) would be ur answer for running ur UMD's up to 2.71

The 2.0 downgrade thinks its an update. It's the same thing.

ohhh yeh , but there was still a bug(even though it's not a big deal at all) that Kramer discovered and ever since i used the 1.5>1.0 downgrader and updated the bug is gone

well more like a side effect, when ur exiting an emulator and u repeatively hit X and what happens is ur "settings"(on the XMB) will be under "game"(also on the XMB)...if u want i can find the thread about it he has a screeny up so u can see, i tested it out and it did it to me too

bl8zed, it is so easy to fix :\ just press "left" and it will come out of the bug. I've had it happen to me aswell.
