Halo CE for XBox all the way!
I'm gonna have to say F.E.A.R., Americas army, or half life 2
For me and the reason I bought a pc in the first place Soldier Of Fortune. Fry Cry is my second fav
would socom count? Because first person is an option in that game.
My favorites are Half-Life 2 for the PC and Halo for the Xbox, respectively.
Half-life comes extremely high on my list, all of them, but...
But if I was stuck on an island with only one game, it'd be DOOM. No questions, no doubts, there's nothing that's taken up more of my time, and I've thoroughly and still thoroughly enjoy so much![]()
"I've got to go with Goldeneye. perfect dark though in many ways an improvement on goldeneye lost it for me. Goldeneye was a one off to this day nothings really managed to capture it again."
damn straight man! You hit it right on the money!!!
Counter Strike, Doom, (Although Doom was great for its time) Half Life 1 + 2, Halo 1 + 2, Call Of Duties, etc. all did not capture the experience that Goldeneye and Perfect Dark brought to the table!
Perfect Dark was insane for it's time. Over 30 weapons, sick training scenarios with each gun, up to 12 people in multiplayer, (including bots) bots with personalities and goals, secondary fire for all weapons, LEVELS FROM GOLDENEYE, (The Only Good Ones Too. . .) sick story in single player, tons of unlockables, ability to connect your gameboy color perfect dark to the n64 for cheats, high replay value and just a huge smack in the face for its time. It was also one of the first games to introduce the expansion pack on the N64. I give a high amount of respect to Goldeneye due to the fact that its made by the same company but i think Goldeneye is gutter trash compared to perfect dark. All of the stupid games of today will never compare to the fun, memories, amount of blood splatter, (for its time!) replay value and pure entertainment that Perfect Dark brought to the table. If you have never played Perfect Dark, you ARE missing out.
