Still no mention of system shock 2 so i will give it a nod great gfx and atmosphear.
Doom started it all for me, Halo revolutionized the console FPS play ... but I would have to say ... (Drum Role)
Goldeneye for Nintendo 64, just from the sheer number of hours played with 4 players on a 13 inch TV screen LOL!!!
For me it's between
Quake - Awesome on 1 player, got a lot of hours in on this back when my PC couldn't handle anything more than this.
Unreal Tournament - We play this at work on the network at lunchtime, great fun.
Goldeneye - Awesome single or multiplayer, must have spent days playing this.
It's gotta be Deus Ex or Half Life 1
quake 2 and all flavours of counter-strike.
it might have something to do with the railgun / awp![]()
quake 2 was the first fps i played over the internet and i kicked a$$ with my 28.8kbps modem![]()
the singleplayer-mode is just as fun and it's even funnier in co-op!
cs, need i say more? played since the first betas and was actually refusing to play it because of the halflife-engine (i really don't like half-life, am i the only one?) but then some of my mates invited me over for a lan and i couldn't stop![]()
iam about to throw up for just reading "counter strike" ....half life 2 really did a big impression on me.... and golden eye for n64, i played that some verryyYYy long time![]()
