downgrade from 2.71 help

I am considering downgrading from 2.71 -> 1.5 (i dont own GTA). i know i need the dump files for 1.5 and i dont have the TA-082 motherboard. my question is, do i need GTA to run homebrew once i have 1.5fw?? if not how can i run it?

No, you do not need GTA to run homebrew on a 1.50. To run it, put the files in the GAME folder, and run it like you do for an update.
Simple.

thanx. im assuming im going to need an eboot... um which one should i get? is the new porter one good cuz i have that one??

no u don't need the eloader either, u can run it from the XMB on a 1.5...just download a emu/homebrew/app for 1.5(they have 2 folders ex:"gpsp" and "gpsp%" they go in ur GAME folder

oh ok. one last thing, in the instructions for downgrading it says you must plug in your ac adapter. i lost mine, but can i just use my usb cord that has the ac plug also?
