Snesx_Tyl Help with Donkey Kong 2/3

So I was wondering if anyone knew why this is happening. I am playing Donkey Kong 2 or 3 on the Snes emulator and I go to save as if in the real game and it does not save. If I turn the system off the game begins from the beginning with no save file and if I save a game state it freezes after a few moments. Are there any fixes for this?

Try formatting your memory stick. Make sure the ROMs are good too.

Thanks for the ideas. I think I'll redownload the ROMs and then try and reformat the memory stick. Hopefully that will take care of it. Thanks!
