The 3000's are "unhackable" - which means you need a kernel exploit in the OFW and/or a game to launch the CFW/homebrew loader. So look for exploits, not CFWs.
Ok i have a psp 3000 (slim) with ofw 6.37 and i cant get any cfw or homebrew thingamabob to work. i've tried all kinds of stuff and the only thing that seems to have any result is the half byte loader which hardly has any result at all besides goin to a different screen with menu choices that just take me back to the regular psp menu.i just want to have cfw because ofw sucks! plz help me! Or if anyone has a downgrader for ofw 6.37 to any other firmware that can run cfw plz let me know!

ok thx! but what exactly is a kernal exploit? i know what an exploit is but are they they the same thing?
Pretty much - a kernel exploit tends to mean in the firmware while exploit is just a general term. Sometimes on the PSP they say kernel exploit when they mean an exploit that allows kernel level access (as opposed to user level access).
update 6.39-> run 6.39 PRO-B7 walaaa u can play iso and cso games![]()
wait how do i downgrade 6.37? Plz tell me! (plz dont say pandora battery because i dont have the money for one, i dont have any spare batterys or mem sticks to make one, and theres no way im going without a memory stick until i get the money for another one)
I don't think he realized you're on a 3000.
Ok Duh Duh Duh Duh! I figured out how to do the stuff i want on half byte loader (all i had to do is screw around with some files and extract all my games into a folder) so upgrading then downgrading is unnessecary! YAY! Oh and by the way if anyone knows any good homebrew games or apps that are compatable with half byte then let me know. (i already have the gpsp kai, snes emulator, and bookr from wololo.net) thx!
ps: Chuck Norris 4 ever!
