I was going to get a used PSP in the first place, seeing as how they were much cheaper than new ones, but I was at EB Games and the guy told me that all of the used PSPs they got had flaws like burnt-out pixels on the screens and cracked covers.
Looking back on it, I would've gladly just bought a new screen/cover if it meant I'd have an old firmware...

I hope so, man! I haven't bought any new games (I only own Fireteam Bravo, Battlefront 2 and Liberty City Stories) but new games apparently need patches for some reason.
So, if Medal of Honor Heroes comes out before the release of any sort of higher-version UMD loader for 2.6, a TA-082 downgrader, or homebrew capabilities for higher versions thus eliminating the need for a downgrader, I'm afraid I'll probably end up upgrading.
I'd rather play Heroes than homebrew, which is a ridiculous thing to say unless you really like Medal of Honor. Well, a lot of other good patch-requiring games are coming out for the fourth quarter of the year, too, but Heroes is my personal time limit.
To say the least, a lot of great guys out there are still working hard (without pay!) at making homebrew equality for all PSPs.

If you live in canada or america buy ure psp from costco they come with 1.52 to 2.5!!!
