DS Hackability

How hackable is the DS? I want to basically load an OS on the DS where I I can attach and XBee Chip and control a PLC with the touch screen and keypad and stream video to the LCD. It there any type of OS available for the DS that will allow this? Basically I want to use it to control an ROV.


Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What OS is used to develop new games? Or what programs are being used to write code for new games?

You can use DSLinux since it is Linux.
Other is that I tried to do some interface, and can tel you to better stick with the slot-2 (DS/L) since it is well documented (works as GBA).
