The Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3 will arrive on two discs when the game releases this October.
That's according to an image of a promotional poster being carried by Japanese blogEsutero (via PlayStation Lifestyle), which also says the PS3 edition will ship on one Blu-ray disc. We've contacted EA for comment.

Last year, Lost Planet 2 producer Jun Takeuchi said that Capcom had to cut a significant amount of content from the Xbox 360 version of the game due to size issues with its DVD format.

Microsoft has seemingly acknowledged what developers such as Castlevania: Lords of Shadow creator Mercury Steam have labelled an Xbox 360 "storage problem". In March, the platform holder reportedly began trialling a new disc format that will add an extra 1GB of storage to Xbox 360's ageing 7.95GB DVD format.

Back in May, LA Noire shipped on three discs for Xbox 360.
