I know and that's his perogative. I'm just saying if he intends on using homebrew. He will need a RAR extractor. You can't very well ask every hb dev "I know you spent ages making this app/game, but will you re-upload it for me cause I can't unRAR."

Guys, please! He already said he can't download winrar, so why even bother mentioning it when there's a RAR extractor that he can just download and use on his PSP?

iRShell is supposed to have the ability but there's also a stand alone homebrew that should help you out as well. It's called UnRar if I remember right. Can't vouch for the functionality of either program, but they should help you out until you can get a PC extractor.

Easy, beta! We aren't bad-mouthing or mocking him. We are just stating that a lot of hb are RAR files and WinRAR is probably the easiest way to unRAR. I hope he finds a way around his problem rather than asking every coder to re-upload in Zip format. I'm just trying to help another 1.5 soldier!

I just think it's funny all of this back and forth about winrar when he can just download a program that he can use on his PSP and have it done with.

If you're trying to help him out you won't keep suggesting something that he's already said he can't do (-_!) If you hit a wall, don't keep ramming into it, just look for another way!

Dejkirkby got his point, even though it's a 'help' forum but it's designated to help people having trouble with PSP matters, in a short, trouble-shooting. Not to convert a file that's relatively common (unless a 1.0 version to 1.5 version with kexploit) Or next time I'll ask someone to convert my MPEG to MP4 !

Dad is not a wall. You can talk to him nicely. Persuade him. I don't see a harm done about downloading a free evaluation version of WinRar, it's a great program. Unless that Motormaniac had been caught in the act trying to download a porn file but that's his problem. Ask your dad to download it for you.
