Well I'm actually rooting for SONY's PS1 Emulator endeavor. I am a dedicated 1.50 user and will not upgrade, but I still think SONY's PS1 EMU will be great. They need it to give the PSP a much needed BOOST. I'm just hoping that someday, 1.50 users can use the SONY Emu.

I apologize to the maker of the PSX emulator for the GP2X, I was not implying that I was a better coder, or anything of that nature. I was simple implying that if he is a true coder (which we already know) that he should understand on why its bad to release videos.

Yes I understand that releasing at this point would be a bad idea, which is why I don't believe he should release it (who ever is behind this project =S)

But why in hell do you need to make a video about something that you have no intention of releasing for a long time, it just makes no sense.

Yes I complimented the psx4all emu on the gp2x, because it was certainly great work, and I definetly would of liked to see it on the PSP Yes I understand the risks, and I understand that is why you didn't do it.

Also I don't understand why you people start flaming me over a simple statement, its funny how I can pull up the other threads of this PSX emulator, and show all the videos they have done. (Yes I know that was PSXP, and not this PS1 emu, just using an analogy) And you will see how ironic it is, on how 1 week the release a video with a 30fps alpha demo, and then a week later, they are running Tekken at 10fps. That is basically an incredible jump in performance, for an emulator that is being made entirely from scratch.

Sorry if you guys believe in miracles, but I think we have all been let down in the past, and we know how it feels to be fooled from a hoax. Believe me I have been fooled before too. Just because it makes the front page of a scene, does not mean its real. When you have hard evidence in front of you that, the user (YOU) are using that hard evidence, then you can truly believe what you have is real. But simple just receiving videos, saying "I have an emulator and its going to be great =D" Does not mean anything in the world of emulation.

I have great respect for everyone on these forums, and you have never seen me flame anyone. Its amazing how I express an opinion though, and if you get a comment that you just don't want to hear, you immediately jump down the person's throat for it.

Just something to think about. But I guess, I don't understand "Snipr" so it may be no use.

pkmaximum: I highly doubt PSXP is made from scratch. It performs too much like PSPSone (which was a direct port of PCSX).

I´m a little confused why mostly everyone is going against pkmaximum. I want a ps1 emu also but what have we got here? a video, found on the internet of another psx emu. no coder, no info, no poc. just a video. sure it could be real but why is everyone saying this is the real thing and shooting off fireworks. I guess I´m missing something. At this point, when I have something in my psp, I´ll say "this looks good", until then I´ll say "this video looks good"

The emulator looks real enough. Yes, people will always doubt this after the donkey situation which never seems to go away these days, but it does look real enough.

Just a few observations tho to add to the skepticism :
1. Why on earth would you run this weird ass game? would you not want to show off something like MGS or FF ? (I understand these would be bigger iso's than this rally game, but why not show a big game off anyway?)
2. Watch closly when the red lights flashes for memory checks.... does it not seem like the guy is moving his hand too much? maybe pushing the memory stick in and out??

Again, Im just being an ass here pointing these out, in my opinion, this looks real. And I hope it is real. Theres not much we can do but wait and see.
Lets just not hope for another long and boring discussion about a bogus coder like back in the donkey64 days. Man , that sucked.

no no no, no one flames anybody here so its good and also yeah a video aint everything but here is hoping that there is a ps1 emu

I'm with pkmaximum on this one, I am not at all convinced one way or another by this video, it dis/proves nothing. I'm getting sick of these video's, There's no point in getting excited even if it is real as it will be so long before it's released anyway.

Remember that emu that played Tekken2 that was supossed to be released september 1st? 21 days later no word on it at all (That i've seen anyway).
I'm past getting excited about psx emu's the fakes and speculation and general shizer surrounding all this has put me off, when one comes out i'll use it, but untill then i'll be happy playing gpSP. Why can't these coders learn a lesson from exophase and surprise us with a good highspeed release and stop teasing us? at least show us a game we recognise, Maybe F1 97, simple but recognisable.
