wow thats really well made. Thanks!
Scognito has released the first working version of Breakout DS, a clone of the breakout/arkanoid/bricks game, and it is themed with mario bros series things, like powerups, music, font, and backgrounds.
I developed it only using emulator, so I don't know how it works on real DS!
Features:
* 2 control types:
-> D-pad for moving the paddle left-right (press up or L or A to launch the ball) (i use this method on emu)
-> Stylus input moves the paddle, tap the ball for launch it (recomended, but never used since controlling with the mouse is a pain on emu)
* 3 game modes:
-> Normal mode: clear 10 levels, each one with its song and background, from mario 1 to super mario world 2
-> Random mode: infinite levels, random generated
-> Custom mode: draw your levels and play with them! (10 max)
* 2 difficulty levels:
-> Hard: If you lose a life all the bricks will respawned
-> Easy: If you lose a life all the bricks will NOT be respawned (original mode, but someone on neoflash competion though it was a bug! )
* 4 powerups:
-> Red mushroom: double size
-> Blue mushroom: half size
-> Fire flower: super ball
-> Magnet: you can catch the ball
Known issues:
* All save types (levels, hall of fame) are done in ram, so when you turn off the console, everything is cleared (i don't have dev hardware to test)
* Music is restarted when pause the game and it doesn't loop since palib doesn't support the feature to know if a channel is busy (mollusk!!!! )

Looks Good ^_^ im hungry..
This is a very nice game!
amazing game, well done. Very playable and extremely addictive. Personally the level editor makes this better than the currently available commercial counterpart (mentioning no names).
Looks kewl!
Keep up the good work!
I just played it on my DS and it's a great game!
I even made some real arkanoid lvls with the custom mode!
Thanks for this one!
Amazing presentation, I feel like i'm playing an official DS game. Great work.
