Well, you could get the modchip but it costs some $100 to obtain and you have to open up your PSP to solder it in. I can figure that it's a difficult task to do but once you have it inside, you can use the flasher tool to setup the modchip and possibly the onboard NAND flash.
However, you must make sure your unit doesn't have the TA-082 motherboard becuase the modchip current does not support it. You can check by opening the UMD drive door and checking the top right hand corner for the words IC1003. If it's there you can't install it, if not you're clear to go if you want to do it.
