coughThe reason we allow the discussion [of psx backups] is that it's legal to make backups from your own copies as long as you are not circumventing any copy protection (reason we can't discuss dreamcast backup) and as long as you aren't modifying the data. [Age of the system is not a factor]

Legaly you arent allowed to copy copyrighted material even for your own use. The USA has some fair use rubbish.
