    Shortage of plastic means these games will be in new cardboard packaging:

    I suppose it's the package and not the cartridge that is cardboard, just like in the good ol' days before CD/DVD-based games.

    They did that for the GB/GBC games. They used to come in plastic, but then used little plastic sleeves for storage.
