    Default Dreamcast Won't Load Games

Ok.... so I haven't played on my DC in a month or so, and I thought I'd boot it up tonight to play a little. When I hit the power button the disc spun for about a second or so, and then the power when out. After some experimenting I found out that the DC will load up the main menu if there is no disc in the tray. After some Googling, I found out about laser calibration. I tried, and the disc spins now (MUCH faster), but the games still will not load. I have also tried cleaning the laser, and the pins on the PSU, still nothing. I tried to play a music CD, but it will only play the first track. I also noticed that the laser doesn't move up and down the track when trying to load a game or play a CD.

Help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks

Maybe the motor powering the laser's movement mechanism has burnt out. I'd assume (from looking at various CD players) that it is replaceble.
