Default Pay 4 Downgrade or wait?

    I got a 2.80 PSP !
    What would you do?!
I got an offer from a guy that would install a undiluted Modchip, flash the onboard bios via this chip and then uninstall it!So i would have a 1.5 PSP (at least this is what they told me)!

But it would cost 69 $! Should i spend 69$ or should i wait until a software method comes out?

    i am thankful for answers

Firstly, i would like to bring up that if your psp is a ta-082, the modchip wouldn't work on it

Secondly, just be patient, they'll be something out eventually. Patience and determination are the keys to just about everytihng in life.

Lastly, if u're gonna pay him for the downgrade u might as well buy a modchip and get some tech experts to solder them in for you provided that your psp is not ta-082

i'm not too sure about that either. i was thinking that it was only supposed to be a double firmware module, 2 OS on 1 psp. I suppose it may be possible to install 1.5 on the psp's flash though...if not how's it supposed to be able to unbrick bricked psps? unless by unbricking it meant using a single OS which i doubt would be the case...any1 have a modchip installed here??

they also offer an unbricking service for fu*** up psp!
it would work for me because i don't have a ta082 mobo!

    i dunno what to do
because there is NO SINGLE HINT that someone works on a downgrader or eloader for 2.80 !
the noobz thing isn't really official, ain't it?

if u really can't wait i'd suggest u compare that $69 with the price of buying a modchip and getting a proffessional to get it installed for you. Chances are that it would be more worth it if u got yourself a modchip.

    i don't know!
although i am a experienced with micro electronics and the soldering stuff, the spots and traces are VERY small!
and the chip costs around 89Euro (i live in germany) which is around 100$
and then the installation would cost about 45 Euro, which is something around 59$
I don't know if i should spend THIS much on it :P

The modchip wont Downgrade your psp it just allows you to run another firmware. So you can have 2.8 on your normal psp and 1,5 or Epsilon Bios on Undiluted platinum. I've almost finsihed putting my chip in and trust me, unless you have the right tools and know-how Get someone Else to do it $69 is extremely good (if in American Dollars)
