Sluggish fps

I have the snes tyl 4.2me and whenever I load a rom (tried 3) the fps are incredibly slow and stay below 15fps usually. Any ideas as to why?

is it clocked to 333mhz also u might have to mess with the frameskip a bit like 1 or 2 usually does the trick for most games that run slower than normal on 0

All the roms are not compatibles, isnt it?
